Jewellery designer & store owner
Hello and welcome. I am Rebecca. I was born in Melbourne, Australia and later in life I raised my family in Northern NSW and Queensland - where we have resided for the majority of the past 18 or so years.
I have been crafting jewellery since I was a girl and really enjoy seeing my pieces worn and come to life with their new owners. Jewellery adornment is an expression of the wearers individuality and self expression. Jewellery design and crafting is a process of creativity and continual refinement.
I have a background in Fine Art where I studied painting and drawing at art school; and in Community Development, where I studied Youth Work. I have attained a diploma in the first and BA in the latter. Later in life I attained qualifications in Hairdressing.
The things in life that have always inspired and motivated me are, art, artists and art history, having come from a family who encouraged art appreciation and being a creative type myself; world culture, having spent several years traveling and living overseas and enjoying the diversity of global culture; city living, having grown up in the urban environment of inner city Melbourne; and coastal living, which has been a strong element in my Queensland lifestyle;
Social justice and empowerment, which was once my job and now manifests as supporting advocacy organisations throughout the years, such as UN Refugee Agency Australia, The Red Cross, and The Salvo's. And family life, which is something we can often take for granted yet is a treasure beyond measure.
This is reflected in my values, life perspective and creative work.
My favourite old workout t-shirt read - “Aspire Inspire” - as a jewellery designer and artist, it has become my creed.
Follow me on Instagram and Facebook, I appreciate your support.
Warm regards, Rebecca.
